As summer winds down and routines shift, caregivers often find themselves juggling more than ever. π
If you're managing wound care for a family member at home, here's a simple checklist to keep things organized as schedules change:
- Set a consistent daily time for wound checks and dressing changes.
- Keep all wound care supplies in one labeled, easy-to-access location.
- Write down any changes in wound appearance such as size, color, or drainage and share with your provider.
- Know the signs of infection: increased redness, warmth, swelling, or odor.
You don't have to do this alone. HealWell's care team is here to support patients and their families. π
