Highland Cows Bring Smiles to Brookline Healthcare

On August 30th, Brookline Healthcare was delighted to welcome some very special visitors. Residents and staff enjoyed a memorable day as adorable Highland cows stopped by for photos, smiles, and plenty of fun.

The furry guests included Harry, Honey, Emory, and Cookie, who quickly became the stars of the day. Residents and staff alike enjoyed spending time with the gentle animals, taking pictures, and learning more about these unique and friendly cows.

Fun Fact: Did you know that cows can eat up to 30 pounds of food per day. That's a lot of hay and grass!

The visit wasn't just about the Highland cows. Also joining the fun were Jack the donkey and several playful goats, giving everyone even more opportunities to interact with the animals and create lasting memories.

A very special thank you goes to the family of our resident Pauline Yordy for bringing these wonderful animals to Brookline Healthcare and sharing them with our residents and staff. Their kindness helped make the day truly special for everyone involved.

We would also like to recognize our dedicated Activity Staff, Michelle, Desiree, and April, whose hard work and enthusiasm helped make this unique event a success.

The animal visit brought joy, laughter, and lots of smiles throughout the facility. Events like these provide wonderful opportunities for socialization, engagement, and creating meaningful moments for our residents.

Brookline Healthcare is excited to announce the arrival of our new resident transportation bus, enhancing our ability to provide safe, reliable, and comfortable transportation for those we serve.

The new bus will be used to transport residents to medical appointments, specialist visits, and a variety of community outings, helping them remain connected with the people, places, and activities they enjoy. Whether attending an important healthcare appointment or participating in a fun trip to local attractions, residents will now have an even more convenient way to travel.

At Brookline Healthcare, we understand the importance of maintaining independence, accessing quality healthcare services, and staying engaged in the community. The addition of this new transportation vehicle reflects our ongoing commitment to improving the quality of life for our residents and ensuring they have opportunities to remain active and involved.

Congratulations to Donald Eshenower on successfully completing his therapy program at Brookline Healthcare on August 31st. Through hard work, determination, and the support of his dedicated care team, Donald reached an important milestone in his recovery journey.

Following his successful completion of therapy, Donald was discharged to Magnolia Personal Care, where he will continue the next chapter of his care and wellness journey.
