Many of you know and love Lollypop, one of our special therapy minis at The Therapy Minis. Recently, Lollypop was diagnosed with an equine sarcoid.
For those unfamiliar, an equine sarcoid is the most common skin tumor found in horses. While sarcoids are generally not life-threatening, they can vary greatly in appearance and behavior. Some remain small and unchanged for years, while others can grow, become irritated, or require treatment depending on their location and severity.
At this time, Lollypop is feeling well and remains her happy, loving self. She will continue attending her regularly scheduled visits and events as long as SHE is comfortable, willing, and enjoying her work. As always, her health, happiness, and quality of life come first, and we will continue to monitor her closely alongside our veterinary team.
We would love to hear from our equestrian friends! Have any of you dealt with sarcoids in your horses? If so, what treatments, management strategies, or comfort measures worked well for you? We are always open to learning from others’ experiences and appreciate any tips you may have.
On a positive note, we’re also continuing to explore options for purchasing a larger van. This would allow Wh**ky and Frazier to join us on many more visits and outreach events, helping us bring even more smiles, comfort, and connection to those we serve.
Thank you all for your continued support of Lollypop, Wh**ky, Frazier, and our entire Therapy Minis family. We will keep everyone updated as we learn more and continue this journey with our sweet girl. 💕🐴
