🦟 The Milford Health Department has officially kicked off the 2026 Mosquito Control Program!

Our team is actively monitoring and treating mosquito breeding areas throughout the city to help reduce mosquito populations and protect residents from mosquito-borne illnesses like West Nile Virus (WNV) and Eastern Equine Encephalitis (EEE).

You can help by following the 3 Ds of mosquito prevention:
✔️ DRAIN standing water around your home
✔️ DRESS in light-colored clothing and wear long sleeves/pants when practical
✔️ DEFEND yourself with EPA-registered insect repellent

Protecting public health is a shared effort — together we can help keep Milford safe and enjoyable all summer long.

Learn more about mosquito prevention and control efforts here: https://www.milfordct.us/413/Mosquito-Control

To report unusual mosquito activity, contact the Milford Health Department at 203-783-3285.
