Comparison is a nervous system reflex before it’s a thought. Someone else shares good news and your throat tightens, your chest caves, your stomach drops, and your mind hasn’t even caught up yet with a reason why.
Compersion is the word polyamory communities use for feeling real joy at a partner’s joy with someone else. I’m borrowing it for this circle, because women need a version of it too. Joy at another woman’s win. A promotion, a body she’s proud of, a relationship that’s working, a business taking off. Feeling glad for her, in your actual body, with nothing subtracted from you.
That’s a skill. Most of us were never taught it, and plenty of us were taught the opposite: that there’s only room for one woman to win in any room. This circle is two hours of practicing the other option. We’ll locate where comparison lives in the body, move through it, and build a felt, physical experience of compersion you can carry with you after you leave.
You’ll walk out with a somatic anchor, a small physical gesture, that you can use any time comparison shows up in your day.
