Appointment, Pre-Payment & Cancellation Policy
I truly value each and every one of my clients and appreciate your continued support of my small business. Because each appointment time is reserved specifically for you, and because of an increase in no-shows and last-minute cancellations, I am updating my appointment policy.
Effective 09/1/2026, all massage appointments must be paid in full at the time of booking. Your appointment is not considered confirmed until payment has been received.
💳 PRE-PAYMENT
Full payment is required to reserve your appointment.
Unpaid appointment requests will not be considered confirmed.
Pre-payment applies to all clients and all appointments.
Payment for an appointment reserves that specific date and time exclusively for you.
📅 CANCELLATIONS & RESCHEDULING
24-hour notice is required to cancel or reschedule an appointment.
Appointments cancelled or rescheduled with at least 24 hours' notice may be transferred to a new appointment time.
Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice may result in the full appointment fee being forfeited.
Appointments scheduled within 24 hours are automatically subject to the cancellation/no-show policy.
🚫 NO-SHOWS
A no-show is considered an appointment that is missed without contacting me in advance.
No-shows forfeit the full amount paid for the appointment.
Repeated no-shows may result in the inability to book future appointments.
⏰ LATE ARRIVALS
Please arrive on time for your appointment.
Arriving more than 15 minutes late may result in a shortened appointment or cancellation at the therapist's discretion.
Regardless of the amount of treatment time provided, the full price of the originally scheduled appointment remains due.
🎁 GIFT CERTIFICATES
Gift certificates must be presented at the time of the scheduled appointment to be redeemed.
If you fail to show for an appointment booked with a gift certificate, the certificate will be considered redeemed and no longer valid.
Gift certificates are not refundable for cash.
💜 REFUNDS
Because appointment times are reserved specifically for each client, payments are generally non-refundable.
When appropriate, Therapeutic Techniques may offer rescheduling or a credit/gift certificate in place of a refund, at the therapist's discretion.
A FINAL NOTE FROM ME
I completely understand that emergencies and unexpected situations happen. I will always do my best to be reasonable and compassionate when something truly unavoidable occurs.
At the same time, my time is valuable, and my business depends on the appointments I have scheduled. When a client doesn't show or cancels at the last minute, that appointment cannot always be offered to someone else.
This policy is not intended to punish anyone. It simply allows me to protect my time, my income, and the small business I have worked hard to build.
