I am so proud to work for Delta Air Lines a company that stands firmly behind the American Cancer Society. This year, I’m joining my Boston teammates for the Delta Jet Drag—a literal tug-of-war with an airplane to raise funds for cancer research.
It sounds wild, but I can’t wait. I’ll be pulling for Joe, for my father, and for everyone we’ve lost too soon.
Why am I doing this?
To honor Joseph Vinacco in as many feel good ways as I can during this 10th year anniversary of his passing.
Ten years ago, in the back of our van after a devastating appointment, I asked Joe, "What do I do?" His answer: "Never give up."
Back then, I thought that meant fighting for a medical miracle. Today, those words are the direction for my life. Joe didn’t leave me with a goodbye; he left me with a life long direction. it’s about never giving up on the day, on what is right, or on the strength I didn't know I had. I've silently always wished his last words were a loving I love you, but over the years I've realized he gave me so much more. "WE" haven't ever given up, and "WE" have had so many obstacles and reasons that really could have made so many things stop... yet here "WE" are moving through life. I know Joe is with us he has led me to and through some wonderful places. It's called devine intervention.
Will you help me reach my goal?
I’m turning "never give up" into action. Please consider donating to my fundraiser to help us find a cure. Every bit helps me honor Joe’s legacy and the man who taught me to never stop fighting.

and please listen to Amanda's beautiful speech from our fundraising Gala when we honored Joe's 50th birthday. Her words deserve to be shared here and yes then written and read by a 15 year old.
I’m supporting the American Cancer Society to honor those touched by cancer by raising funds for groundbreaking research. Support me.
