💫RESEARCH HIGHLIGHT💫
A panel of ITSCC experts developed consensus recommendations for the treatment of actinic keratoses (AKs), squamous cell carcinoma in situ (SCCIS), and superficial basal cell carcinoma using topical 5-fluorouracil/calcipotriene (5-FU/C). These guidelines help clarify treatment indications, dosing regimens, and management considerations, including use in immunosuppressed patients. 📝

As use of 5-FU/C continues to expand, these recommendations provide a framework for clinicians while larger prospective studies are underway.

Together, their work helped drive national conversation around skin cancer prevention and chemoprevention strategies. 👏
