Really loving these recaps 🤍

It’s only 30(ish) days but so much happens in a month! It’s been fun to look back & reflect on everything & how good May was to me.

Fear can be sneaky, which makes it hard to recognize the ways it’s effecting us.

A lot of women aren’t spending their day consciously thinking: “I’m afraid”

They’re thinking:

“I just need one more certification or to read one more book”

“Now isn’t a good time, I’ll do it soon though”

“I don’t want to make the wrong decision”

“It’s almost perfect, I just need to spend a little more time on it”

“I have to do all of these other things first before I can do that one thing”

Meanwhile they’re building entire lives around avoiding discomfort, vulnerability, failure, judgement, visibility or being fully seen.

At some point it, fear starts to shape your identity until you barely recognize yourself. You become quieter, smaller, more disconnected from yourself and the people/world around you. You’re more hesitant, no longer trusting in yourself. Overall feeling less alive and less present in your life.

I know exactly how that feels because I lived that way for a long time too. At one point I was so stuck in fear and misalignment that I didn’t know who I was anymore. That’s a real gut-wrenching realization.

This is a huge part of why I care so deeply about helping women work with their fears instead of continuing to build their lives around them.

If you see yourself in this and you want a way out, comment PATTERN 🧠

I’ve been the woman who has let fear keep me small and stuck time and time again. I know what it feels like to lose yourself inside of fear, hesitation, self-doubt and misalignment.

If you’re in that place right now, I need you to know it doesn’t have to be like that forever.

Even if it feels hopeless and hard, there is so much more life to be lived on the other side of that paralyzing fear.

There is a version of you that is going to be thanking you so hard for doing the work because she feels more connected, alive and fully herself than ever before.

It can be really easy to slip into performance and lose presence in a practice if you’re not consistently checking in with yourself about why you’re doing it.

Our lives our busy and we go on auto-pilot sometimes, just trying to check things off the to do list.

I encourage you to take time today to evaluate the practices you do for yourself and assess whether you’re being fully present in them or where you’re just performing the action.

Reading this letter made me a bit emotional and so fu***ng proud of myself.

Proud of the version of me a year ago who loved herself enough to get out of her comfort zone and stop playing small. Who, instead of wallowing in her self-resentment and frustration, decided to go all in on doing something about it and came out better for it.

Proud of this current version of myself for who I’ve become in the last year, and for continuing to do the hard things that are slowly making the dreams I had last year a reality. For continuing to do the hard and uncomfortable things to grow and expand further.

I highly recommend doing this for yourself so you have something tangible to look back on, because it can be hard to truly see our own growth when simply reflecting on memories.

This is the first time I’ve done this for myself, but definitely making it a yearly thing.
