Located on the grounds of Right Lead Equestrian Center. Imagine experiencing the ancient Japanese relaxation and healing technique of reiki under the full moon, surrounded by nature. You never know who might show up during your session: lightning bugs, dragon flies, croaking frogs, chirping crickets, deer, the barn cat. Horses live on the property; if they don't join us you'll probably be able t

o hear them. Rural Living and Right Lead are far enough from the city for you to enjoy the constellations and the occasional meteor shower if the sky is clear. The top 2 choices for sessions here are the "big field" and the pier at the pond. Maybe you have a garden or a pool area that you love to spend time in? Maybe you have a special occasion? Mini-sessions available for girlsโ€™ night out, wedding parties, low key bachelorette parties. Does your animal friend need a session? New Paper Alert! Published in the Journal of the National Comprehensive Cancer Network by Jeremy McGuire et al., the randomized pilot study "Feasibility and Efficacy of Reiki Versus Massage for Cancer-Related Fatigue in Patients With Breast and Prostate Cancer Receiving Hormone Therapy" evaluated the feasibility and preliminary effectiveness of Reiki compared with massage therapy for reducing cancer-related fatigue in 87 patients with breast cancer receiving aromatase inhibitors or prostate cancer receiving androgen deprivation therapy. Participants were assigned to two massage sessions, two Reiki sessions, or four Reiki sessions. All three interventions significantly reduced fatigue, with improvements sustained at the 10-week follow-up; however, Reiki produced larger within-group effect sizes than massage, particularly the four-session Reiki regimen, which showed the greatest reductions in overall fatigue, worst fatigue, and fatigue-related interference with daily life. Although differences between the treatment groups were not statistically significant, the findings suggested a possible dose-response effect, with greater benefits from four Reiki sessions. The authors concluded that both Reiki and massage are safe and feasible approaches for managing cancer-related fatigue, with Reiki showing particularly promising results that warrant confirmation in larger, adequately powered clinical trials.

The research was a double-blind, pre-test-post-test randomized controlled experimental study. The data were collected using Information Form, Wong-Baker FACES Pain Scale (W-BPS), Vital Signs Follow-up Form, and The Pediatric Quality of Life Inventory (PedsQL) 3.0 Cancer Module.

Reiki was performed to the Reiki group for 20โ€“30 minutes once per day, for 3 consecutive days and pseudo-Reiki was applied to the pseudo-Reiki group by an independent nurse during the same period. Reiki did not affect the vital signs of the children but was effective in reducing pain and increasing the quality of life compared with the pseudo-Reiki and control groups.

Noting the study's rigorous design and its evidence-based rationale for incorporating Reiki treatments more broadly into cancer care practices, CRR reviewers scored this paper, published in the ๐˜Œ๐˜ถ๐˜ณ๐˜ฐ๐˜ฑ๐˜ฆ๐˜ข๐˜ฏ ๐˜‘๐˜ฐ๐˜ถ๐˜ณ๐˜ฏ๐˜ข๐˜ญ ๐˜ฐ๐˜ง ๐˜–๐˜ฏ๐˜ค๐˜ฐ๐˜ญ๐˜ฐ๐˜จ๐˜บ ๐˜•๐˜ถ๐˜ณ๐˜ด๐˜ช๐˜ฏ๐˜จ, highly (Very Good/Excellent) using the CRR Touchstone evaluation process.

Every Animal Reiki session is an invitation to create a peaceful space where animals can receive Reiki in their own way and in their own time. Each practice offers an opportunity to listen more deeply, respect each animal's unique experience, and nurture a relationship built on trust.
