6 months ago I started making this my new home away from home. Today I had a meeting scheduled with HR to go over my layoff…

Today I had a patient cry on my shoulder because they worry they won’t find the same care somewhere else after failing before.

Today I had a patient ask me if there was someone she could call to tell them how much they needed our clinic.

Today I had a patient curse for me because they knew I didn’t mean it when I said “I’m okay”

6 months ago I connected with patients who asked “why couldn’t I have met you sooner!”

This week I have to tell them our clinic is closing…

I have so much grief for my patients and so much anger at the system that has failed them.

Oh and that meeting with HR? Cancelled last minute and not because our jobs were saved…

Day 2 as a full time comprehensive weight management dietitian completed! 🥳
I got the opportunity to shadow another RD all day and it got me thinking… as a patient or as a provider, what is a question about weightloss you’ve always wanted to ask? 🍽️🥣

And yes this is also me contemplating if I will start posting here more regularly again👩🏻‍💻

When you are super excited for your new job so you offer to send them a “new coworker bio”. But seriously I’d love to get an intro like this from an incoming team member so that was the inspiration. What do you all think about the idea??
