We love a good quiz! 🧠 Dr. Scott Sherr asked us what cell in the human body has the most mitochondria (our tiny cellular energy engines).

Our guesses were close, but the real answer completely blew our minds! 🤯

Mitochondrial dysfunction is the missing conversation around women's energy. When our cells are struggling to make power, it doesn't just make us feel 'tired.' Dr. Scott explains how it directly leads to major issues like brain fog, concentration problems, mood swings, and even the dropping fertility rates we are seeing in women in their 20s and 30s.

If you've been feeling 'off,' foggy, or drained, your cells might be asking for help.

Are we being too hard on ourselves? (Spoiler: Yes. Yes, we are). 🤍

Dr. Scott Sherr dropped some major wisdom on the podcast this week about how our 'Type A' tendencies and chronic stress are physically draining our energy at a cellular level.

If you are someone who feels like a failure if you don't give 100% to every single thing you do, your job, your family, your workouts, Dr. Scott has a gentle reminder for you: It is okay to just do your best.

Calming our nervous system and giving ourselves grace isn't just 'woo-woo' advice, it is a biological necessity for our mitochondria to produce the energy we need to thrive.

Sometimes healing begins with what we choose to let go of.

In this emotional story, Dr. Tony Jimenez shares how one woman’s healing journey changed after leaving a toxic relationship and removing chronic emotional stress from her life.

We often think about healing as purely physical — but our emotional environment matters too.

“Do your emotions carry a story your body is waiting to tell?”
— Dr. Tony Jimenez

This conversation may completely change the way you think about stress, relationships, and health.

Fear can become its own form of suffering.

In this powerful conversation with Dr. Tony Jimenez, we discuss how fear, chronic stress, and emotional overwhelm may influence the body’s ability to heal — and why hope, peace, and emotional support matter during a healing journey.

This episode is a reminder that healing is about more than just physical treatment. ❤️

How many times have you told yourself:
“We don’t have time.”
“Maybe next year.”
“It feels indulgent.”
“There’s too much going on right now.”

After spending several days at an endurance retreat on Vancouver Island, we were reminded how important it is to intentionally plan breaks that nourish your mind, body, and soul.

And no, we do not just mean a vacation.

We mean experiences that:
• challenge you
• inspire you
• reconnect you with yourself
• introduce you to new people
• get you outside your routine
• remind you who you are outside of your responsibilities

One of the most powerful parts of this experience was the community.

Women ranging from their 40s to late 60s came together from different backgrounds and life experiences. Within days, complete strangers became sources of inspiration, encouragement, laughter, support, and meaningful connection.

That is something so many of us are craving right now.

Real connection.
Real conversation.
Real presence.

If you have been feeling overwhelmed, burned out, disconnected, or stuck in the same routine, maybe this is your sign to start planning something for yourself.

Even something small.

Because sometimes growth and healing begin the moment you finally say yes.

We share more reflections from this experience in our newest episode of The Art of Living Well Podcast®.
