🤰🏻If you’ve ever felt unsure about how to interpret LH test strips, or how to identify your “fertile window”,, you’re not alone. Many people looking to conceive aren’t certain if, or when, they’re actually ovulating, and that uncertainty can be stressful.😖

🌱 Clear, evidence‑informed guidance can make this process feel much more manageable.

Whether you’re just beginning to explore your fertility or have been trying for some time, I’ve created a practical guide to tracking ovulation that explains how ovulation works, which physical signs are most helpful to watch, and how tools such as LH strips fit into the process.

You can find a link to “Tracking Ovulation: A Practical Guide” in my bio 👩🏻‍⚕️🌿

Yes, yes, yes! 🙌🏼

This pivotal global consensus was published in The Lancet today, which has renamed polycystic o***y syndrome (PCOS) to polyendocrine metabolic ovarian syndrome (PMOS).

The original name was quite misleading, implying the condition was primarily about ovarian cysts when it is so much more complex than that. PMOS better reflects the reality that PCOS was a complex endocrine and metabolic disorder with wide-ranging effects on hormones, weight, mental health, skin, and reproductive function. Hopefully this change will improve recognition, reduce diagnostic delays, and shift clinical focus toward the systemic metabolic and hormonal features of the condition.

This decision has major positive health implications for women, as it addresses decades of confusion regarding a condition that affects 1 in 8 women worldwide. Moving forward, this change has the potential to enhance screening accuracy, expand treatment approaches beyond fertility concerns, and reduce stigma by acknowledging the full scope of the disorder.

Cheers to a major win in the women’s health space! ✨👩🏻‍⚕️

Have you been experiencing foggy thinking and a headache recently? Seemingly out of nowhere?

This may be due to seasonal allergies 🤧🌿

Seasonal allergies can look like constant sneezing, itchy/watery eyes, runny or stuffy nose, post-nasal drip, and that foggy, tired feeling that just will not go away. If you’re feeling run down and like you need to carry a tissue box everywhere you go, it may be time to think about calming histamine and supporting your immune system from a naturopathic lens.

These are some of my favorite gentle histamine-supportive allies (always personalized to the individual):
🌱Stinging nettle: often used as a natural antihistamine to calm sneezing and congestion.
🧅Quercetin: a flavonoid that can help stabilize mast cells and modulate histamine release.
🫑Vitamin C: supports immune function and healthy histamine breakdown.
🫚Astragalus: used in naturopathic medicine for immune resilience and seasonal support.
🤧Plus, foundational supports like nasal saline rinses, gut support, and nervous system regulation to improve the overall immune response.

If Zyrtec and Claritin are no longer cutting it, let’s chat! 👩🏻‍⚕️

Happy Earth Day! 🌍

Small, consistent choices add up to meaningful change for our health and the health of the Earth. A few ways one could support our environment would be to:
♻️ Reduce, reuse, recycle
⚡️ Conserve energy by turning off lights, appliances, etc. while not in use
🚉 Choose sustainable transportation, such as walking, biking or using public transit
💦 Fix leaky faucets & avoid leaving the water running
🥗 Eat sustainably

This last point is incredibly important! Choosing how you fuel your body not only impacts your health, but demand for sustainable food practices and reducing food waste. This spring & summer, consider:
👩🏻‍🌾 Supporting local farmers and your health through Community Supported Agriculture (CSA)
👩🏻‍🌾 Visit farmer’s markets
👩🏻‍🌾 Consider a membership at your local Co-op

Also, be sure to make your voice heard. Support policies and initiatives that protect clean air, clean water, and a stable climate, and lend your time, donations, or skills to organizations doing environmental and climate work that aligns with your values.

Every step is a step toward a healthier planet & healthier bodies. Keep going. ✨
