Fairview Masonic Children’s University Hospital is once again the top-ranked children's hospital in the Twin Cities and No. 2 in Minnesota by U.S. News and World Report.

Our hospital also earned national recognition for pediatric cancer care and gastroenterology. This marks the 19th consecutive year Masonic Children’s Hospital has been nationally recognized for providing high-quality, compassionate pediatric care close to home.

But what matters most is what makes recognition like this possible: teams coming together to care for children through everyday illnesses, complex diagnoses, surgeries, cancer treatment, and everything in between.

“Every child who comes through our doors brings a story, a family, and a future we are privileged to help protect,” said Catherine Larson-Nath, a pediatric gastroenterologist with University of Minnesota Physicians who cares for patients at Masonic Children’s Hospital.

Childhood vaccination rates are declining in Minnesota as kids return to school, according to new CDC data.

Anna Milz, MD, a pediatrician with Fairview, spoke with KARE 11 about why vaccines remain a safe and effective way to protect kids, families, and communities from preventable illnesses like measles.

With so much vaccine misinformation circulating online, Dr. Milz encourages parents to talk with their child’s healthcare provider about their questions and concerns. Watch the full story in the comments.

For our patients and families, a day like this means everything. 💜🏈

Four pediatric patients and their families from Fairview Masonic Children’s University Hospital, known to patients today as M Health Fairview Masonic Children’s Hospital, recently stepped onto the field to enjoy a special day at the WWE x Vikings Training Camp event, where they got to see Vikings players and WWE Superstars up close.

They visited the Vikings Museum, headed onto the field for autographs, and experienced Vikings Training Camp like true VIPs. More importantly, they got the chance to make memories together.

Thank you to the Minnesota Vikings, and Minnesota Sports and Events for making this special day possible.

It was a sweet day in the cookie kitchen for third grader Ella Dwyer and her family.

Ella, who was diagnosed with a brain tumor when she was 4-years-old, and her family spent time earlier this week with the team at T-Rex Cookie Company, LLC, creating their own cookie recipes and enjoying a special experience outside of the hospital.

Ella’s cancer journey began after she started experiencing migraines and stopped growing as expected. She was diagnosed with craniopharyngioma and connected with experts at Fairview Masonic Children’s University Hospital, known to many patients today as M Health Fairview Masonic Children’s Hospital.

During Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, T-Rex Cookie is helping support patients like Ella for their courage and resilience. Throughout September, T-Rex Cookie will donate 15% of online sales and 50% of corporate gift sales to support cancer care at Masonic Children’s Hospital.

We’re grateful to the T-Rex Cookie team for making this day possible.

Summer camp came to Fairview Masonic Children’s University Hospital, known by many today as M Health Fairview Masonic Children’s Hospital, last week.

Our child life specialists became “camp counselors,” bringing the joys of summer camp right to the hospital. Patients, families, and staff joined in on crafts, bingo, music, games, and plenty of opportunities to have fun together.

The week even included a special visit from the Minneapolis Fire Department, before wrapping up with a camp-themed lobby party with meals donated by Chick-fil-A, treats from Maui Wowi of Minnesota & Wisconsin, crafts, music, and more.

Thank you to everyone who helped make Summer Camp Week a memorable experience for our patients, families, and staff!

As the tournament’s family-focused Sunday brought the week to a close, Peppa stopped by to spend time with our patients and families — bringing plenty of smiles and a little extra fun to their day.

From unforgettable moments on the green to a special visit at Masonic, it was a week filled with fun, connection and memories for our pediatric community.

These special Fairview kids had the chance to step onto the green as Kids Captains at the 3M Open!

Children of Fairview team members and patients at Fairview Masonic Children’s University Hospital (known by many today as M Health Fairview Masonic Children's Hospital) got to experience a pretty unforgettable day at the tournament — and we loved cheering them on every step of the way.

We’re so glad these kids got to make some special memories and have a little fun in the spotlight! ⭐️

Today, these WWE Superstars met some of our own! ⭐

Chad Gable, Je'Von Evans, and Otis of WWE brought joy to patients and families at Fairview Masonic Children's Hospital, known by many patients today as M Health Fairview Masonic Children's Hospital.

The event kicked off with a live Q&A emceed by Crisco Radio from KS95, where the WWE Superstars answered patients' burning questions, like, "Otis, what's in your lunch box?" and "How do you get so strong?"

Then they shared laughs, games, great food, dancing and special bedside visits with patients throughout the hospital.

We're grateful to have been chosen as one of WWE's Community Champions, a program that recognizes organizations providing hope and healing to patients and families while making a meaningful impact in their communities. The visit comes ahead of WWE's Summer Slam event in August.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts to everyone at WWE, Red's Savoy Pizza, dodopop, TB1Fund, and Minnesota Sports and Events for making this unforgettable day possible.
