If you are applying for licensure and you are in good standing with MVMA - select TAP (not traditional) when starting your application!

We’ve heard your feedback about the application pathways and have updated the form to make things clearer - thanks for your patience! (Unfortunately, these updates appear on new applications only. Existing applications will not display the revised language.)

Here’s what you need to know:
• If you are an MVMA CVT in good standing, choose the Temporary Alternative Pathway (TAP). The Board will use the information provided directly by MVMA to process your application.
• If you plan to submit your own VTNE scores and proof of veterinary technician education, choose the Traditional Pathway instead.
• We are cross‑referencing the MVMA list with TAP applications only.

Already picked the wrong pathway? No worries - it’s an easy fix. Email [email protected] with your first and last name and the pathway you want.

One more note: You do not need to upload CE documents with your application or renewal. Just be sure to keep them—some applicants are selected for a random CE audit.

Thanks again for your patience as we roll out this new process. Your questions are helping us smooth things out for future applicants!
