The hamstrings are crucial to keep limber because they can affect the whole backside of you. And by the whole backside, I mean from the top of your head all the way down to the bottom of your foot.
We have a fascia membrane that runs through that whole space, woven in between every muscle fiber. When one area is super tight, it pulls on the whole band. So we loosen up our entire back by focusing on our hamstrings.
Slow down and ease up. Breathing and relaxing encourages our muscles to lengthen.
