Digestive problems can be caused by a single stressful incident or chronic stress.
The constant stress of the past couple of years has increased gut dysfunction and constipation in many people.
When the vagus nerve isn’t working properly, there is a lack of communication between the gut and the brain. This makes it hard for your body and your gut to function properly. It is very common for people with vagus nerve dysfunction to not be able to have a daily bowel movement.
If you have past trauma or are currently very stressed, this is something to look into as there are easy and effective things you can do to improve your vagus nerve health and help your body to get into a state of rest, digest, and heal.
