A little life update: Soul Bridge Healing is moving!

To focus on the transition and getting the new space ready, I’m pausing appointments in June. Sessions will resume in July.

This move is something I’ve been working toward for a while — the new space will allow me to grow the practice and expand in ways that align with the heart of this work. I’m genuinely excited about what’s coming.

Thank you for your patience and support. I can’t wait to welcome you into the new space.

Sen Sumana — The Central Integrating Pathway

Sen Sumana follows the body’s midline and is considered one of the most vital core pathways in Thai medicine.

It parallels the diaphragm, psoas, pelvic floor, and deep core stabilizers — structures that support breath and stability. When the center loses support, compensation often shows up in the shoulders or hips. When the diaphragm is restricted, breath becomes shallow.

Energetically, Sumana represents internal alignment. When the center is organized, posture steadies, breath deepens, and movement becomes more efficient.

This is why it’s so important — when the midline is supported, the whole system follows.

** When you feel fatigued, do you notice it more in your posture — or in your breath?

Sen Kalatharee — The Core to Limb Pathway

Sen Kalatharee begins at the navel and branches into the chest, arms, groin, and inner legs — connecting center to limbs.

Structurally, the upper branches parallel the pectorals, scalenes, and anterior shoulder. The lower branches relate to the inner thighs and hip stabilizers. When tension builds here, breath becomes shallow, shoulders round forward, and grounding through the legs can feel limited.

In traditional Thai medicine, Kalatharee is associated not only with physical movement of the chest and limbs, but also with psychological and spiritual balance. The chest is understood as a region where protection, expression, and vitality intersect.

When mobility and breath improve along this pathway, people often report a greater sense of ease — physically and emotionally.

** As you breathe right now, do you feel more open through the chest — or more supported through the legs?

Sen Pingkhala — The Mobilizing Pathway (Right)

If Sen Ittha relates to settling, Sen Pingkhala relates to activation.

Sen Pingkhala travels along the right side of the body and is traditionally associated with warming and activating qualities. “Warming” refers to mobilization — the body preparing to engage, respond, and act.

Anatomically, this pathway mirrors regions commonly involved in alertness: the jaw, rib cage, shoulders, and cervical spine. When activation remains elevated, we often observe jaw tension, lifted shoulders, rib restriction, and forward head posture. In modern physiological language, these patterns are consistent with prolonged sympathetic activation.

Energetically, Pingkhala represents outward engagement. The goal in bodywork is not to eliminate activation — it is to regulate it, so the body can move fluidly between effort and ease.

** When you’re under stress, where does your body tighten first — jaw, shoulders, or ribs?

Sen Ittha — The Settling Pathway (Left)

Sen Ittha travels along the left side of the body and is traditionally associated with cooling and receptive qualities. In Thai medicine, “cooling” describes the body’s ability to soften and regulate — to shift from guarding into restoration.

Structurally, this pathway parallels the inner thigh fascial line, deep spinal stabilizers, and regions that influence diaphragmatic breathing. When these tissues are restricted, the body often struggles to fully settle. You may notice low back guarding, tension through the inner legs, or difficulty accessing a complete exhale.
Energetically, Sen Ittha reflects the capacity to soften. Structurally, it reflects support. When support improves, regulation tends to follow.

** When you lie down to rest, does your body soften easily — or remain slightly braced?

*** Understanding the Thai Sen Lines ***

In traditional Thai medicine, the body is organized through ten primary Sen lines — therapeutic pathways that describe how vitality (lom) moves and integrates throughout the system.

These lines emerged from careful clinical observation. Over generations, practitioners mapped consistent patterns: when specific regions were compressed, stretched, or mobilized, effects were often felt beyond the local area.

Rather than viewing the body in isolated parts, Thai medicine approaches it as an interconnected system.

In modern anatomical language, we speak of fascial continuity, neural pathways, muscular chains, and circulatory flow.
Thai medicine articulated this interconnectedness through the framework of Sen.

Different language.
Same living body.

Over the next several posts, we’ll explore each Sen line — not just as an energetic concept, but as a structural and neurological reality within the body.

As we begin this series, what area of your body tends to hold tension most consistently?
