Meet Stefanie 🌟 Life threw her a curveball when she had surgery to remove her colon and she found herself navigating a completely new path. At first, she felt overwhelmed and lost, struggling to adjust to her ostomy system while dealing with leaks, skin irritation, and the bag falling off.

After trying several options, Stefanie connected with Coloplast and found what worked best for her: the SenSura® Mio Click two-piece system.

Inspired by Disability Pride Month, we’re talking about disability rights people may not know they have. First, we discussed air travel carry-ons with your medical supplies. Next, we’re discussing the right to swim with an ostomy 🏊

Ostomates can freely swim in a private pool, like in a condo, or in a public pool—just like everyone else. The Fair Housing Act* applies to private pools, and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)** covers public pools, so you’re protected doing laps or taking a dip in a hot tub.
