Hoping you all can find some warmth and contentment this week.
It’s impossible to comprehend how much chaos is in our world right now, and it only seems to take up more headspace each day. While being aware and educated about what’s happening is vital to keeping us moving for the better - we must also make time for our wellness and nature. How you spend these precious minutes is how you impact those closest to you, and inevitably build a life that echoes out into the world.
To doom scroll for every shred of knowledge, or to book an hour for sauna and cold plunge to just be present with friends? To binge a show so you’re fully distracted, or to find nature and just let everything settle down around you? To isolate from everyone to silence the noise, or to connect with like-minded people who are also seeking ways to prioritize their health, and the health of those around them?
And speaking from experience, we don’t always spend our time in ways that support our ideals. Life is damn hard and messy, and we can only take so much before things start to crack. What we do know, full and well, is that when we intentionally choose a practice like sauna - meet a new friend, do something hard, or stay in that cold plunge for thirty seconds longer - we find joy, hope, and contentment.
