After making soap for well over a decade, I’ll admit I can bang out a batch with a fair bit of confidence. This Fall however, I found myself humbled. More than once.
I initially thought this batch was a flop.
The color shifted with what (I think) was the fragrance’s fault. My lard source was a little different. I soaped at a lower temp. The trace was super off.
This one was a rascal!
Fortunately, all of the soap I make has a ton of creamy butters and oils, smells awesome, lathers like a beast, and is still great to use, even if it doesn’t turn out like I planned.
