Got our flu vaccines yesterday to keep us protected this flu season!

Did you know it is completely safe to receive a flu vaccine while breastfeeding, and actually recommended! Babies cannot receive a flu vaccine until they are 6 months old, but they can receive protection through breastmilk! The antibodies a mom’s body produces after receiving the vaccine are transferred to baby via breast milk. How cool is that?? Have questions? Please reach out!

Wanna hear something really cool? Two women, both lactation consultants and business owners, got together yesterday to share ideas and talk about how we can better support families in our communities.

No gatekeeping. No competition. No judgment. Just two women who genuinely want to see each other succeed and more families get the care they deserve.

That’s what went down yesterday, and it was awesome!

A big thank-you to Brandi Crump Roberson for spending the day with me and learning more about how MILC League is run! I truly appreciated her enthusiasm, thoughtful questions, and passion for supporting breastfeeding families in her community.

We’re excited to introduce The Feeding Village, a FREE weekly infant feeding and motherhood support group hosted by Bay Area Breastfeeding! 🤍

The Feeding Village was created to give local moms and babies a welcoming place to learn, connect, ask questions, and feel supported through every stage of feeding and early motherhood.

Whether you’re breastfeeding, bottle feeding, pumping, combination feeding, working through feeding challenges, or simply looking for community, there’s a place for you here.

Come connect with other moms, receive expert feeding guidance, ask questions, complete weighted feeds when needed, and build friendships with women walking through the same season.
