Breast cancer awareness is about more than wearing pink — it’s about knowing your body, understanding your risk, and staying on top of recommended screening.

Women should be familiar with what is normal for their breasts and report any new or unusual changes to their healthcare provider.

Changes to watch for may include:
- A new lump or thickening in the breast or underarm
- Changes in breast size or shape
- Skin dimpling, puckering, redness, or swelling
- Ni**le changes or unexpected discharge
- Persistent breast or ni**le pain

Routine mammograms are also an important part of early detection for many women. Your recommended screening schedule can vary based on your age, family history, and personal risk factors.

Due to inclement weather, FBL Physicians, P.C. will be closing early at 12:00 PM on Friday, October 9.

In addition, our Saturday clinic scheduled for October 10 has been canceled due to the weather.

October is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month. 🤍

For every woman who saw two lines and immediately started imagining a future…

For every mom who had a due date that came and went without a baby in her arms.

For every family who heard the words, “I’m sorry, there’s no heartbeat.”

For every person who had to grieve a baby while the rest of the world kept moving.

Miscarriage is more than “losing a pregnancy.”
It’s losing the plans, the dreams, the names you considered, the milestones you were already counting down to, and the version of the future you thought you were going to have.

Whether your loss happened at 5 weeks, 15 weeks, or later, your grief is valid.

You were allowed to love that baby from the moment you knew they existed.
