A little preview of where you can find me next week: ✨

Yoga in the Park is back Sunday, October 11. We’ll move, breathe, and enjoy a little time outside under the pavilion. Come as you are, bring your mat, and give yourself a little Sunday morning boost.

Then on Tuesday, October 13, we’re settling in at Great Day Latte for Steep & Stretch. Deep stretches, a sound bath, and warm tea to help you ease out of the workday. If you’ve been carrying the week in your shoulders, come spend some time with us. Save your spot at the link in my bio.

Switching gears a little as we head into fall.

This time of year can get full pretty quickly. More plans, more obligations, more reasons to put yourself last. So I’m making a little more room for practices that help you slow down, get comfortable in your body & have some time that belongs to you.

Think deep stretches, restorative yoga, bodywork & sound. Warm tea and good company, too.

If you’ve been feeling stiff, overstimulated, or like you need a minute before somebody asks you for one more thing… I have a few things in mind for you.

I’ll be sharing more soon. Until then, consider this your reminder to leave a little room for yourself on the calendar.

For upcoming offerings & experiences, check The Yoga Social Club yogasocialclub_mobile, or DM for private offerings.

Patience is a virtue.
Perspective is a practice.

I’m learning to give some things a little more time before deciding what they mean. And to let some things be what they are without placing judgment on them.

My perspective shifts when I step back and make room for more than what I’m feeling in the moment.

Looking back, there’s a lot to appreciate.

Fall always asks for a little honesty.

What needs more of my attention? What needs less? What am I being called to let go of altogether?

This season is teaching me that strength isn’t always about pushing through, and stillness isn’t the same as standing still. Sometimes the strongest thing I can do is stop forcing, grow quiet, pay attention, and be present. There is power in listening for what becomes clear only when everything else falls silent.

It’s a lesson I’m carrying into both my life and my work.

This picture looks playful, but there’s a little more behind it.

Kim didn’t open Great Day Latte just to sell coffee. She created the kind of Black-owned space she felt Mobile was missing—a place where people could connect, talk about business, family, mental health and what our community needs next.

Since then, she’s continued using the space to bring people together around culture, opportunity and real issues affecting Mobile.

That’s part of what makes our next collaboration make sense.

Because the same care that creates room for honest conversation can also create room to breathe. Sometimes community care looks like tea, deep stretching, sound and a little time to unclench. It looks like making wellness feel welcoming, familiar and connected to the people and places we already trust.

Kim and I have been working on something that brings those ideas together.

Think Great Day Latte, a slower pace and a new way to gather.

More soon.

In the meantime, stop by Great Day Latte at 10 S. Conception Street in Downtown Mobile.

Not untouched by life itself—just not completely knocked over by it either.

What can you do besides keep showing up?

Six women showed up for my class at DICK’S House of Sport. I expected more. That’s the truth. Five were familiar faces, and one was completely new.

It wasn’t the turnout I pictured, but DICK’S treated the people who came like they mattered. They set up the space, sent everyone home with giveaways and let me choose a fit that still felt like me.

Yoga teaches us to meet what is actually in front of us—not what we hoped would be there. I could have spent the whole class focused on who wasn’t in the room, or I could teach the women who came, rolled out their mats and trusted me with their practice.

So I taught. And respectfully, I taught like the room was full.

Thank you to DICK’S House of Sport for the invitation, and thank you to every woman who showed up for me. Life isn’t always neat. Neither is the practice. We keep returning.
