Dr. Stubbs, a sports medicine specialist, graduated college with a degree in biochemistry from Louisiana State University. He received his medical degree from Louisiana State University Medical School in New Orleans, graduating with AOA honors. He went on to complete his residency in orthopedic surgery at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. To pursue his interest in arthroscopic surgery and t

he treatment of athletes, Dr. Stubbs was accepted to specialty training in a sports medicine fellowship at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York, New York. During his fellowship, he specialized in treatment and arthroscopic procedures of the shoulder, elbow, knee, and hip, as well as cartilage restoration techniques. The fellowship provided intensive exposure to team coverage, serving as the assistant team physician for the New York Jets, New York Islanders, and Manhattanville College Athletics. Dr. Stubbs also specializes in anterior approach total hip replacements, hip arthroscopy, total shoulder replacements, evaluation and treatment of athletes, and treatment of fractures around the hip, knee, and shoulder. Dr. Stubbs is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon and a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the Alabama Orthopaedic Society, the Arthroscopy Association of North America, and the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine. He sees patients in our Airport Boulevard, Fairhope, Saraland, and Spring Hill offices. Dr. Stubbs treats patients of all ages, whether the injury is new or a chronic condition. Important Update ā€“ Airport Boulevard Location

Due to unforeseen circumstances, all appointments at our Airport Boulevard location have been canceled for today.

This includes:
ā€¢ Physician appointments
ā€¢ Nurse Practitioner (CRNP) and Physician Assistant (PA-C) appointments
ā€¢ MRI appointments
ā€¢ Physical and Occupational Therapy appointments

OrthoASAP Walk-In Clinic is also closed today and will resume normal hours tomorrow at 8:00 AM.

Our team is working to reschedule affected appointments. If you prefer, you can also request a new appointment online through our website.

Hard to believe itā€™s been 20 years since graduation! šŸŽ“ Catching up with old classmates last night at our reunion was a blast.

A lot has changed since the high school days. There are a few more gray hairs and weā€™ve traded weekend curfews for early morning wake-up calls with our own kids, but the roots remain the same.

While life and career have taken me to a different community to raise my family and build my practice, the lessons and friendships from those early days are unforgettable. Truly grateful for the people who knew me "then" and the journey that brought me to where I am today. Cheers to the next 20! šŸ„‚āœØ
