Emotional abuse goes way deeper than a single heated argument. It’s an ongoing pattern of controlling behaviors and neglect.

Mental abuse lingers far longer than the bruises of physical abuse. Harsh words, emotional invalidation, gaslighting, etc. wreak havoc on a person's mind, heart, and emotions for weeks, months, and even years.

Even more, sometimes the specific words are forgotten but how you felt when another person belittled your feelings, acted like you weren't in the room, accused you of ugly things, attacked your character, and caused you to question your reality— that can stay trapped within us.

If you are struggling with any form of abuse, get help.

There is no excuse for abuse. There is no acceptable amount of abuse that is okay.

Join us TONIGHT at 6:00PM for the Phoenix Rising Sisterhood at Amethyst Alchemy Fresno!

08/21/2026

There’s still time to reserve your spot for the next gathering of the Phoenix Rising Sisterhood! This is a free community service for women looking to reconnect with themselves and rise above life’s challenges together!
In this women’s circle, we’ll explore the difference between truly supporting your nervous system and simply forcing yourself to “calm down.” So many of us have been taught to ignore our emotions, push through discomfort, or act like we’re fine when we’re actually overwhelmed, exhausted, or disconnected.
But suppression is not the same as healing.
Together, we’ll talk about how suppression can show up in everyday life, why it can contribute to burnout, and how regulation helps us stay connected to ourselves with more compassion, honesty, and care.
This gathering includes gentle reflection, supportive discussion, and a grounding practice you can use outside the circle.
You do not have to show up calm.
You do not have to have it all figured out.
You are allowed to feel.
You are allowed to rest.
You are allowed to heal.
📍 Amethyst Alchemy Art & Wellness Center
1250 Fulton St., Fresno, CA 93721
💛 Suggested Donation: 15–25
Donations are appreciated but never required. Your presence matters most.
Come as you are. You are welcome here. 🌹
