This time of year I feel devastated when I see the shelves bursting with rows and rows of Roundup W**d Killer at the store.

Even though Roundup is strongly linked to cancer, Roundup has NOT been banned.

It continues to be used at parks, playgrounds, and by homeowners everywhere.

Roundup doesn’t necessarily stay where you spray it. It can drift through the air or get into groundwater.

This is part of the reason why some organic food is contaminated with it, even though it’s not allowed to be used on organic crops.

This is compounded by the fact that this chemical is also sprayed on 80% of non-organic crops in this country.

It is now so rampant in our environment that a lot of our food has this cancerous chemical in it.

Tests have found it in honey, cereal, meat, drinking water, beans, hummus, breast milk, infant formula, beer, wine, chips, cookies… the list goes on.

Every time you buy Roundup, you are contributing to this problem.

You are also helping to fund the company (Bayer) who makes this hazardous w**d killer.

This isn’t going to change overnight...

But we would send a BIG MESSAGE if we all stopped buying Roundup.

Look for natural and organic alternatives in your garden center, and leave the Roundup on the shelf! There are many alternatives available that are made with non-synthetic and organic ingredients.

Tag your friends below and ask them to stop buying Roundup too!

We all have been forced to evaluate ourselves and the circumstances of our life the past year. There has been a tremendous learning curb for many, as well as growing pains🙃

We were forced to examine what was working and what wasn’t in 2020…to pivot, to adapt and to lean into the uncertain🙏

And despite the challenges of 2020, so many beautiful friendships, online experiences and opportunities presented themselves…because humanity is and will always be resilient👌

I am grateful for the eye 👁 opening experience of 2020 and all the knowledge, learning and expansion it has brought.

I went into this year with the vision for more self-care, more education and greater knowledge! 📚 Guess what? I got just that and WAY more! 🙌🏻

Blessed to be a graduate of and HTMA Expert in 2020. I’m also blessed to walk this journey with other amazing practitioners like and coaches like .sparrow ❤️

Mixing Herbs w/Meds for Mental Health...should you do this?

It’s the holiday season, it’s 2020 and it’s been one hell of a stressful year. We could all use a little support for mental health, right?

But, there’s a right ✅ way and a wrong🚫 way to support mental health…

If you watched my IG stories last week, I mentioned that I’ve noticed a growing trends of individuals mixing SSRI medications 💊 (anti-depressants) with herbs 🌿 like St. John’s Wort, melatonin, ashwagandha, kava kava and cannabis.

What happens when you mix powerful herbs from nature with prescribed anti-depressant medications? 🤷‍♀️

Well, it depends on the person, but symptoms can range from mood imbalances, impaired sleep to major mood disturbances and beyond.

Basically, mixing certain herbals with meds can be a recipe for disaster when it comes to mental health🤦🏻‍♀️

👉🏻Bottom Line: before, taking any new herb 🌿 with a medication of any sort, always consult with your doctor👩‍⚕️

Furthermore, when working with a doctor, psychologist, herbalist or even nutritionist please be transparent about all the herbal supplements and meds you’re currently taking…so you don’t end up imbalancing your mood further😱

✨If I didn’t think it was possible to Reverse Disease w/Diet & Lifestyle, I wouldn’t be a Nutritionist✨...
⁣..And I certainly wouldn’t still have my Hair!

As you may know I was diagnosed with Androgenetic Alopecia (female pattern baldness) and IBS in 2013. I was told I would lose my hair if I didn’t use Rogaine for the rest of my life. I was offered anxiety & depression meds as solutions for my gut troubles.

I chose another approach. I chose to listen to that little voice in my head that said…”Look for another solution…one that offers hope!”

7 years later with major diet & lifestyle overhauls, along with strategic Functional Lab Testing…my gut issues are gone and my hair is still on my head! Hell yes!💪🏻

I want to be that reminder that yes, there is a root cause to your health issues (hair loss, digestion, anxiety & more). And those root causes can be far removed from the source, so sometimes it takes digging!

Furthermore, it is not impossible to bring the body back to balance and restore health.

You do not have to live with symptoms. There is always another way! And my favorite way is through food 🥘 This is exactly why I ❤️ my job and I am passionate to share it with others!

According to Dr. Marc Grossman, OD, LAc, a leading holistic eye doctor, h. pylori bacteria and gut dysbiosis may be a root cause to dry eye and other eye disorders. He states, “the microbiome” is a huge piece to the health puzzle and should not be overlooked for dry eye conditions.

As someone who has been suffering with Dry Eye over the last few years, I can honestly say that clearing h. Pylori has helped my eyes tremendously, but…there is more to this healthy puzzle (you may know if you’ve been following along with my health journey).

✨Proper Diet always comes before Supplementation…for Everything, Including Gut Health✨

One of the goals for improving gut health, is stress reduction. Stress blocks the digestive process. And many times we find ourselves reaching for supplements or a multi-vitamin to make up for poor eating or stressful times.

However, one of the easiest ways to reduce stress on the body (besides mindset work) is dialing in diet & eating for our individual body’s needs.

Example: do you know how much protein you need daily to maintain energy, mood, healthy weight and blood sugar balance? 🤔 If not, this is where working with a nutritionist can help.

Even more, simple lab 🔬 work (like blood work or HTMA testing) can tell us where the deficiencies are occurring (I often see protein, selenium, B12, iron and vitamin C) and then we can correct it through the diet, before we reach for a supplement.

The RDV for potassium is 3,500-4,700. Most people don’t get close to this #, due to soil poor eating and soil depletion.
