Aariyah Strong #knowtheglow On August 9,2022 at just 5 months old she was diagnosed with Retinoblastoma, a form of eye cancer.

She will be undergoing many surgical procedures, chemotherapy, and radiation.

We had Ari’s eye exam and angiography today.

Best news is NO MORE CHEMO for now 🫶🏽
The blood flow they were able to see to her retina was amazing he said. She has a spot by her optic nerve (not cancer) that they want to do and MRI on to make sure it’s not going into her retina and we’re praying her vision will return with time. He was overall pretty happy with her exam today and so are we 💛💛💛

Update****
Her tumor they were concerned about has calcified and not a main concern. She has a small few tumors in her peripheral but not concerning. They’re still unsure why she’s not able to see and will be doing an angiogram before her chemo, if all goes well she will not need anymore chemo. Keep those prayers coming they’re working 🫶🏽🫶🏽🎗️🎗️🎗️

A lot has been going on with Ari so I’ll just do a quick update, it’s been almost 3 weeks since chemo and Aariyah is still having swelling to the point she can’t open her eye. Last week she started to open her a little bit she was wasn’t reacting like she could see. Thursday I took her to ER in St. Louis and they couldn’t see any visible damage, the next morning her eye doctor called us back to look at her eye again, she said her retina has some swelling and her tumor has blood around it (which hopefully means it killed it 🤞🏾) and prescribed her a steroid for her swelling which has helped some. We go back tomorrow for her sedated eye exam. It’s been a long 3 weeks for both of us.
