What a morning for Dundee Community Schools Middle School Student Prevention Leadership Team - SPLT members! Mrs. Alston, Dundee Middle School SPLT Advisor, said her team demonstrates true leadership capability and makes her job as an advisor easy! They joined our May coalition meeting by challenging the coalition members with a Jeopardy game they created about electronic cigarettes/vaping! Some of our members did better than others! They included factual information about the harmful effects of these devices that stumped some of our members.

After they presented, they were able to get a surprise tour of the fire station where our coalition meets each month. A huge thank you to Captain Little and Firefighter Hubert from Monroe Public Safety Department City of Monroe, MI for taking the time to give the students a tour and answer all their questions. Both were awesome! As you can see from the pictures, we think everyone had a morning that was probably better than being at school. 🙂
