What are your future plans once you become an RDH?
-I am not 100% sure what my plans are after graduation! I will either stay here in Monroe or move to South Mississippi! I am very interested in pediatrics but we will see what the Lord has planned!

1. I recently got married and my husband and I have two border collies!
2. I have a twin sister!
3. I played college volleyball and now enjoy coaching!

What advice would you give to someone who is considering dental hygiene?
-DO IT! It is very challenging but so rewarding! You will not be perfect, but it is so exciting to see how much we have grown!

What has been your favorite part about dental hygiene school so far?
-My favorite part about dental hygiene school has been the friendships I have made! Our class is so wonderful about helping each other inside and outside of the clinic! We have truly grown to appreciate each other and lift each other up every step of the way!

What are your future plans once you become an RDH?

-Go back to Lafayette and become a full time hygienist

List 3 fun facts about you!

1. I actually love spending time by myself-it’s my favorite way to recharge.
2. I can only really focus on studying when I’m at a a coffee shop
3. And if my English is a little confusing, sorry I will improve it next time🤣

What advice would you give to someone who is considering dental hygiene?

-If you’re thinking about going into dental hygiene, I’d say just go for it! It’s definitely not easy, and there will be days when you feel stressed or overwhelmed, but if you need to cry, let it out-it’s part of healing Ask questions, keep practicing, and don’t be afraid to make mistakes-that’s how you learn. Step out of your comfort zone, trust yourself, and take it one day at a time. One bad day?
Tomorrow gonna be better!

What has been your favorite part about dental hygiene school so far?

-I’ve definitely stepped out of my comfort zone, become more confident, talking a lot more than I ever expected! It’s been so rewarding to watch my clinical skills improve with every patient. I also love my classmates and all of our instructors-they’ve made this journey so much more enjoyable. And of course, we can’t forget that we’re the only class that gets to switch from Caldwell Hall to Sugar Hall...woohoo!
