East Suburban Sports Medicine Center (ESSMC) was established in 1984 to meet the need for high-quality outpatient orthopedic and sports medicine physical therapy care in Pittsburgh's eastern suburbs. At that time, our facility was the first free-standing outpatient clinic in Monroeville, PA. Since then we have expanded to 8 additional offices throughout the region: ESSMC Greensburg, ESSMC Kiski,

"I give an A+ to Jeanette Miller PT and Lizzy from the Penn Township office. I have too many good things to say here but I'll give you a few. Jeanette did a great assessment of my hip injury. Her treatment not only resolved my hip injury but helped to relieve back issues by strengthening my core. Professional yet personable, always smiling, with a great sense of humor. Then that brings me to Lizzy the assistant! I called her dizzy Lizzy but she is anything but dizzy. Completely helpful and competent. An asset to the Penn Township office. One more important thing. THEY LET ME RING THE BELL WHEN I ARRIVED AND WHEN I DEPARTED. 🚨A concussion can happen in any sport, at any age, and sometimes the symptoms are not immediately obvious.Whether it’s a hard hit on the field, a fall at home, or an unexpected accident — recognizing the signs early is the first step toward a safe recovery.

🧠 Common concussion symptoms may include:
• Headache or pressure in the head
• Dizziness or balance problems
• Sensitivity to light or noise
• Difficulty concentrating or remembering
• Fatigue or changes in sleep
• Feeling slowed down or “not quite right”
• Nausea or visual disturbances
