We are not meant to stay wounded. We are supposed to move through our tragedies and challenges and to help each other move through the many painful episodes of our lives. By remaining stuck in the power of our wounds, we block our own transformation. We overlook the greater gifts inherent in our wounds - the strength to overcome them and the lessons that we are meant to receive through them. Sunday night Restorative Yoga class. I have a very dedicated little yogi I have been teaching regularly and tonight there was a huge shift in the energy created within for us both. I could feel such a settling inward. Could it have been the energy of the New Moon and the Springing forward toward Spring Equinox and all this new life bubbling up from the deep dark caverns we have been quarantined in the last year?

Yoga Asana, meditation and breathwork are powerful practices that give rise to higher awareness. For this I am grateful.

If you've been away for awhile and you'd like to get back on the mat with me. This is such a potent time to begin your practice again and I'd love to lead you through it!

I stated roller skating again after 30 years. I have been to roller rinks a few times in between, but skating outdoors is a totally different vibe. It's amazing how the body remembers like riding a bike and the yoga, the years of yoga has kept me flexible, strong and stable. If I trip and fall, i'm sure I'll land in vasisthasana!! 😂

There will always be good, bad, rain, sun, dark, light, pain, bliss, happiness, sadness, ups and downs. Yoga has taught me how to stay more balanced and in between. Yoga has taught me, when I find myself too far over on one side or the other, how to regulate. Yoga has taught me how to identify my own trauma, issues and projections, what I can do to become more self aware, self loving and tap into self healing. We cannot control the storms around, but we can control our response, relationship and understanding how to navigate through them with more ease, grace and feeling of safety, security and confidence..
