Entrepreneurs don’t always think about taking a break but Ever wonder why you eat a healthy lunch still leaves you exhausted?

🍣I notice this all the time with entrepreneurs eating salmon, greens, sweet potato… then going right back in a meeting feeling foggy by 2pm.

As an entrepreneur and Board Certified FDNP®, I see this constantly.

🧠Your body doesn’t digest well when it thinks you’re under pressure.

😳When you’re stressed, your nervous system shifts into survival mode. Blood flow moves away from digestion, stomach acid and enzymes can drop, and even a really healthy meal gets broken down differently.

🥑So it’s not always the food.
Sometimes it’s the state your body is in while eating it.

🥱Honestly? Even answering emails while inhaling your lunch can do it.

One simple thing to try:
⏰Take your time!
Chew slower than feels normal.
Then pay attention to your energy after.

💊If digestion still feels heavy, bloated, or sluggish after meals, digestive enzymes can sometimes help support breakdown while you work on the bigger picture.
