Remember that WORK is not YOUR ENTIRE IDENTITY. Go on a hike, play a video game, run around with your dog, binge a Netflix series, write a movie script, dance around your kitchen, I don't know... just DO WHAT MAKES YOU HAPPY & MAKE TIME FOR IT.

Celebrate the uniqueness in you. What makes you unlike anyone else. Embrace that, breathe that in... and exhale expectation & judgment. When you keep that inside of you, when you give that your attention, you no longer will for you - you live for others. And last time I checked this is YOUR life. So be YOU. Passionately, unapologetically. BE FREE.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Something to say, an intention to set, a personality trait. I believe Mondays are a day to wake up feeling fresh & powerful. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Think of it as a rebellion to the typical stigma that "Mondays Suck" -- to me, that sounds like a sh*tty way to live. I get it: stressful jobs, early alarm clocks... but despite all that, it can still be a good day. As long as you set intentions and claim the day as YOURS. You know, that "main character" energy -- this is MY day, my Mondays Are Good Days. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Beyond just a saying, Mondays Are Good Days is a weekly newsletter filled with support, motivation, and practices to implement into your life to make it a good one. Click the link in bio to subscribe!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Mondays Are Good Days is also a Pen Pal membership: at the beginning of the month, you'll receive 4 letters to open over the next 4 weeks. Speaking right to you, writing for you, and making a deeper connection via snail mail. With all the motivational goodness in the emails but with extra personalization for you & your life.

What are you waiting for?

12/05/2020

Taking the extra 5 mins (and the extra +10 mins to film) to make myself something special in the morning and get a little creative truly sets the tone for my day.

Whether is Monday or Saturday....

Whatever I have to do next, for whomever, as long as I take time for myself first... I know I’ll have the sanity and energy to do anything else that is required of me.

“Hashtag” Self care is not a trend, and we can thank social media for bringing our attention to how important it is to our lives.

Please,
prioritize yourself
set boundaries
move your body
say no
listen to your body
every 👏 single 👏 day.

Very convenient that falls on a Sunday. If we need any excuse to lay down and relax with a book, we'll thank Sunday. ⠀

I admit I wish I spent more time reading, except I'm naturally more of a creator so that's the way I follow. But still, my love for books and my appreciation for other lives that inside of them exists 🙏🏼 I admire someone who reads often - and I appreciate you! hey reader 💛 ⠀

But when I do find the chance, and when I need to disconnect from everything digital and live somewhere else for a bit... I grab a book. ⠀

Even if my brain is already filled with a thousand words and I think “the last thing I want to do right now is read?!” I still pick up the book. With even MORE intention now. ⠀

Because I know, specifically when "I don't want to read right now," a mental disconnection from my own thoughts, and investment in another... something... someone... sometime is WHAT I NEED.⠀
Those minutes... that turn into 15... that turn into 136 pages in... ⠀
They are exactly what I need to have a little bit of clarity right now. "Go get lost in a book" they'd say. And honestly it's not bad advice.⠀

You'll realize, once those 15 minutes have passed, that you're glad you made time to read a book today.⠀
😌📚 I hope everyone is ready for a tomorrow. ⠀

Celery, spinach & ginger. 🥬 Juice it up, add some ice. Drink with a metal straw to save the planet :) 🌍 Start your morning with greens to get your metabolism moving, kick start your energy & keep you fueled and healthy for the rest of the day. Anyone else at the stage in adulthood where you prefer gifts in the form of kitchen appliances? 😂
