Family and friends, I’m sharing this because I know many of you care about Benji and we’re still trying to process everything.
Last night, Benji was seriously injured in a violent attack. He was stabbed in the neck and his hand was broken. He was rushed to the hospital and underwent surgery. By the grace of God and the incredible doctors, he is expected to be okay, but he has a long road of healing ahead of him and will be out of work for some time.

What happened is still hard to wrap my head around. Benji was outside with a friend when a girl approached him, seemingly flirting with Benji. Moments later, her boyfriend came around the corner, confronted Benji about the girl, broke a Corona beer bottle, and attacked Benji with the broken glass. As a mother, there are no words for how terrifying this has been.

Right now, our focus is on Benji’s recovery—physically, emotionally, and mentally. The medical bills, missed work, and everyday life expenses will add up quickly, so we’ve set up a GoFundMe to help support him during this time. If you’re able to donate or even just share, it would mean the world to us.

Update 🥹💕
On Thursday, Angie had her PICC line removed and the doctors placed a port in her chest.
Then on Friday, they drew blood for a genetics test to find out whether her cancer is hereditary.
They say that if it is genetic, treatment might be easier… but all I can think is how much I wish none of this was real.

I keep praying the doctors are wrong — that somehow there’s been a mistake. 😭
I pray this is just a terrible dream and any moment now I’ll wake up and she’ll be perfectly fine, laughing like always.

Today I washed her hair. I did it slowly, carefully… almost afraid to touch each strand, afraid it might fall out.
Her scalp is so sensitive that my hands barely grazed it. It took me back to when she was just a little girl and I used to wash her hair for her — when it was easy and fun, when life wasn’t so heavy.

What I would give to go back to those days…
Back to when her tiny body was small because she was a child — not because she’s pouring every ounce of strength she has into fighting the biggest battle of her life.

But if there’s one thing I know about my girl, it’s that she’s a fighter. She’s going to go at this with everything she has — teeth, nails, heart, and soul.
And she’s going to win. I believe that with everything in me.

Breaks my heart to write this post. I never thought I would ever have to write these words.

Our Angiekat was diagnosed with Stage 3 cancer. 💔 Please pray for her.

When she told me “they think its cancer”…
It took every ounce of strength inside me to hold it together for her. I couldn’t break in front of her.

I was home when she got the results finally and called me, this time her words in a shaky cracking voice were
“I do have it, it’s cancer”. Again, I tried to be strong, for her. I cried as softly as I possibly could so I wouldn’t add to her stress.

Thank God I was home because as soon as I ended the call, I screamed an unbareable loud scream that I couldn’t contain… it poured out of my chest like a broken water pipe. I had to run outside to vomit, I couldn’t breathe and any breath I did take, came back out in a loud ear aching scream. I must’ve been screaming for 10 minutes. I’ve never been so heart broken in my life. I can only imagine what her thoughts and feelings are. I know she tries to not show emotions for our sake but I know better 😭

Her Dad is falling apart but hides it well. I don’t know how he does it honestly. She’s his first Baby Girl… the one who taught him how to be a Dad and showed him what love feels like.
He told me “I’ve protected her all her life and now, how do I protect her from this?”
I didn’t and still don’t have an answer for him 😭

But I do know, I’ve come to know and love so many of you here and have prayed countless nights for all my friends here who have and are battling the same fight. So now, it’s me asking for prayers.
Please ask God to heal Angie and give her an overload of strength to fight. Please ask God to give us the wisdom to help her and for strength so we can be strong together in this fight.

We believe in the power of prayer, the power in numbers. The more voices, the louder the prayer… God will hear us, I know it. 😭😭😭
