Something magical happened today...I'm sure there's science involved but I don't care. I went to burn a letter and the pages wouldn't burn but the flame made the ink disappear. It feels like a nice metaphor for how presence can remain even if a part of it fades to the background. It's still there, it's just invisible.

Unspoken words hold a lot of power. When something is said or written it comes into being even if it doesn't last. But when words are held they become burned into your heart and brain and I don't want anymore invisible scars. I'm working on ways to release the words that need to be spoken, even if they go unheard.
