I know, I’m really late on this trend 😅 But I feel like it is a great way to talk about why I do what I do.

If you ask any of my family or long time friends, they will all tell you it makes sense this is the field I ended up in. Some of my earliest memories center around taking care of others. From my baby dolls to my siblings I was solving problems and handing out bandaids whenever needed 😂

When people ask me why I got into this work, I always go back to my childhood. Looking back, this was inevitable. And now I can’t imagine a life where I don’t do this.

I’ve definitely had my fair share of long births over the last few years 😅 (The longest of those lasting 3 days 😮‍💨)

When I head out to a birth, I have no clue when the next time I’ll be able get a full meal is. This is why my bag always has caffeine and protein! If we hit a “Rest and be thankful” stage, I’ll usually grab my can of coffee and sit down for a minute so I’m ready for whatever comes next!

This video from a year ago perfectly represents how I feel sometimes! (Anna is literally always ready for a nap 😂)

Still, even with the exhaustion, I wouldn’t trade this work for anything ❤️
