Elizabeth McKinney made a fb post telling her story. If you are in direct sales or have ever contemplated joining a direct sale company...PLEASE READ her words below! BUT FIRST, I just came from Career Conference in Duluth, Georgia. The #1 National Sales Director in ALL of North America, Gloria Mayfield Banks, was our teacher for the 2 day event. Gloria makes in excess of $90,000 PER MONTH in commissions alone. That does not include her income from sales. Gloria could sell ice to an Eskimo....but having said that...SHE CHOSE MARY KAY. She researched the compensation plan and proudly states that there is none comparable in direct sales. So if you need a side hustle, if you need a "job replacement" career, DO YOUR RESEARCH.....and call me!!!

Why I’m Glad I spent 17 years In A Direct Sales Business:
It’s 2001. People who ‘knew’ me were surprised & confused when they heard the news...Elizabeth McKinney (Bowers) joined Mary Kay?! 😳 Yep the Wrangler wearing, long hair, no makeup, farm Girl from a tiny town in Idaho, started her own business! Naturally In....Cosmetics?? 😂
As you might guess, I didn’t have much ‘support’ from friends & family because, let’s face it, I didn’t have much of a chance. And that really IS the Truth!
Most Young girls would have quit, or never even begun, with the lack of support i received. But I was simply too naïve & excited to see people’s doubts in me. 🙌🏻☺️ Praise Jesus!
At 19, With a mediocre education, VERY low self esteem, and lacking some pretty basic social skills. I began my 17 year journey in Direct Sales.
Thank God I had tenacity, a Don’t Quit attitude, and A few key things growing up on a farm taught me! Like, Don’t Quit till the Job is Done, and Don’t start something you don’t plan to finish!
In September of 2001 when I started my business, I had no idea how much it would teach me! How valuable the life lessons would be, or how Our Dream of buying a place in the country, would become a reality.... because of Mary Kay.

❤️ I Learned! Mary Kay became my ‘ College’! I poured myself into my Business studies. And learned skills I’d need in the future.
❤️ I Grew! 🌿 Spirituality I became the woman God intended me to be!

❤️ I EARNED! 💵 And Self Esteem!
❤️ By 2006 I was making enough money so my husband was able to quit a job he hated... and start his Construction Business! 🙌🏻🙌🏻 THIS WAS HUGE for us!!

Did it happen overnight? NO!
Did you have struggles? YES!
Did you get impatient? 😆 Oh Yeah! We REALLY had to just keep our heads down, stay humble, and work!
•But like ALL good things... like REALLY GOOD things, it took Time! And when we dream, we dream BIG! So when we were ready...Financially... God said, NOW! And within 1 month, we’d found our Dream Land, Made an offer, and took our first steps onto our Windy Sage Farms! 🙌🏻❤️😆And it was all worth the wait.

✅ I Took Ownership of my Business.
✅ I Treated it like a Real Job.
✅ I Tracked my Money 💴
✅ I SAVED my Paychecks!
✅ I (We) Paid ALL our Bills! (Debt FREE)
✅ I Tracked my Time ⏰
✅ I Tracked my Goals.
✅ I Worked!
✅ I had a Business Plan!
✅ I expected to reach our goal.
✅ I (we) Enjoyed the Journey!

🚫 Get distracted
🚫 Give Family Discounts
🚫 Start 5 other ‘side gigs’
🚫 Quit.
🚫 Get a ‘real job’
🚫 Listen to the naysayers!

He ☝🏻 Knew just how to reward us for our faithfulness, patience, & perseverance! We fell In love with the 54 Acres, that is now our Home. Oh the JOY! 🙌🏻❤️ The Peace of us being financially stable, allowed me to GROW 🌿 Full Circle ⭕️ 🙌🏻 From Farm Girl, to Makeup, and Back to Farm Girl! 😆 I’m Now ‘retired’ from the Leadership position with Mary Kay. However, I’m blessed to continue to earn an income, servicing my MK customers! 🙌🏻 meanwhile spending Most of my time cultivating our New Business adventure...Windy Sage Farms!
🌿A Sustainable, Organic Farm! Working a business plan to be Fully operational with Grass Fed Meat, Produce, Eggs, Milk, and Pets for sale by Spring 2020! 👏🏻❤️
