Our Customer Service Overall Champion for August 2026 is Melissa Evans!

Melissa is a Patient Support Specialist at the Dermott Clinic. She was nominated for her attitude, teamwork, compassion and dedication. Her coworkers said that she treats each patient as a close friend or family member. Her coworkers said that Melissa recently stepped in to support an individual experiencing a difficult crisis. Even though this patient wasn't a regular patient at her clinic, Melissa used her mental health first aid training to provide a calm, reassuring and compassionate space. Another coworker shared an example of how a couple's community transit ride was delayed for several hours. Melissa recognized they were becoming hungry and she personally located them food and water. She made sure they were comfortable and checked on them until their ride arrived. Her coworkers said these are just two examples of how Melissa goes above and beyond for patients. They said she always shows compassion and understanding and is always willing to step in. Her kindness and willingness to go the extra mile truly makes a difference every day!
