As we finish up what is left of winter and look ahead to spring, it's the perfect time to get a tattoo and let it heal before sunning and swimming! And it just so happens that Alex is ready for your tattoo ideas! She is now taking requests for the months of March, April, and May.

She will be focusing on tattoos that are in realistic, illustrative, and watercolor styles. With themes revolving around spring, summer, botanical, woodlands, floral, animals, bones, skulls, spooky, witchy, creepy, and celestial!

Another music icon gone. Black Sabbath Paranoid was the first heavy rock album of my mom’s that I started listening to in middle school. She had a pretty stellar record collection! 15 years later I got to pierce Ozzy and family. It was surreal to have someone who felt like an imaginary figure linked to real tangible childhood memories sitting in the piercing room. I think the way GenX discovered and was influenced by music pre-internet created a different kind of memory. It’s a less casual memory. Discovery took effort/time and this can change the personal impact. Piercing in West Hollywood vs Montpelier feels like different dimensions…the distance is measured in much more than miles!

On my way!! Excited to attend the Association of Professional Piercers annual conference!! This year celebrates the 50 year anniversary of Jim Ward opening the first store front piercing studio!! As a former Gauntlet employee ( Piercer and Training Seminar Director) I am excited to see , , Vince, Mark and any other former Gauntlet folks. It’s been 27 years since I attended my first APP conference and the changes to piercing, jewelry, and the APP show amazing progress. I am hoping this 50 year exhibit put together by guides newer piercers to connect with what gave us all careers and community. 💜
