New for 2026: Meet the Cimarron LT Reel

The next evolution of a trusted member of the Cimarron family. We made it lighter in hand, pulled from the proven Animas drag, and finished it with a clean aluminum drag k**b. The mountain line of the Cimarron range is milled right into the frame, a nod to what we see from the factory every day.

Aggressive porting cuts nearly 15% of the weight with no tradeoffs. A composite-disc drag with a stainless interface keeps it smooth and holds when a fish turns and starts to run. An anodized drag k**b and escapement cover add durability where it matters.

Available in Matte Black, Platinum, Matte Olive, and Matte Blue in sizes 4/5–7/8.

Ross, yes—the Ross Reels: Ross Hauck

During Dealer Days a few weeks ago, Ross Hauck and his son Rob were tucked back in the machine shop, standing beside the original machines we still run today. We kept it quiet and let dealers gather in before their factory tour, slowly realizing who they were standing next to—Ross himself, talking reels.

He started at the beginning, how the first prototypes came to life, what he was chasing, what mattered. He pulled out original models he was most proud of, not to show them off, but to explain the why behind them. The small decisions, the trial and error, the details that make Ross Reels what they are.

Rob Hauck is still here with us, working in the factory every day designing, engineering, and carrying that same passion forward into the reels you find in fly shops and fish today.

A reminder that what we build today still traces back to that same mindset—American-made craftsmanship, designed, machined, anodized, and assembled here in the USA.
