Is journaling overrated? πŸ€”

It is easy to think so. A notebook and a pen do not look like much next to everything else that gets called self-care these days. No steps to follow, nothing to check off, just a blank page waiting.

When a friend first handed me a journal, I was skeptical. I have never been the disciplined, write every single day kind of person, and part of me expected this to end the way most habits do for me, forgotten after a week or two.

But something tiny started to happen anyway. One honest line at a time, a little clarity began to sprout where there used to be static. Nothing dramatic, just a small shift, the kind that is easy to miss until you look back and realize how much lighter you feel. πŸƒ

That is self-care too. Quiet, unimpressive, easy to overlook, but real. ✨

September holds both Self Care Awareness Month and National Recovery Month, and journaling belongs in that conversation. It reminds us that healing does not always announce itself. Sometimes it is just a few honest words on a page.

Give yourself grace, even for the smallest forms of care. Trying counts. Showing up counts, even messy, even inconsistent.

πŸ’¬What is one small way you could care for yourself this week? Comment below.

A lot of us do this without even noticing. Before we rest, before we say no, before we spend money or time on something just for us, we get our reasons ready first. In case someone asks. In case we have to explain ourselves.

Today is Just Because Day, and it's a good one to sit with. Not everything you do for yourself needs a reason attached to it. Consider this your permission slip to skip the explaining altogether. 🎫

My friend, a joy that waits for permission rarely arrives on time.

You are allowed to enjoy your life without a justification attached to it. ✨ Not the version where you rest for ten minutes and then feel guilty about it. The real version, where you let yourself have something simply because you wanted it.

Just because. That's allowed. That's enough. πŸ’›

πŸ’¬ What would letting your hair down look like for you today? Drop it in the comments.

You can be invited everywhere and still feel like you belong nowhere in particular.

Present at every table, welcome in every group, and still carrying the same quiet question underneath it all. "Which room is actually mine?"

Belonging is not how many rooms let you in. It is which one you never have to leave. πŸ’›

You are allowed to want that. ✨ Not just company. A circle. A room with your name already in it.

πŸ’¬ My friend, what would finally make a room feel like it's yours?

Faith is tricky, and most of us learned to shy away from the conversation. I think that's because it matters so much.

For me, faith has been one of the most important threads of my whole life. It hasn't always been easy, and I don't think it's supposed to be. I've had seasons of doubt, seasons of questioning, and every time, it led me somewhere true.

That's the heart of a new room we're opening inside our community, one of several small spaces built for different parts of this journey. This one's for anyone who's ever wanted to explore their faith more deeply, or discover it for the first time, no matter your background, no matter where you're starting from. Not what you were told to believe, but what you actually believe when you're honest with yourself. There isn't a right answer here. The only real answer is the one you actually believe, because faith that's forced onto you was never really faith at all.

Inside, you'll find things like the moon and the seasons tracked the way people have followed them for generations, and space to sit with prayer, from your own background or one you've never explored, whatever helps you get quiet enough to hear yourself. We're not here to tell you what's true. We just want to hold the space while you find it.

The waitlist is free, and the link is in the comments if you want to be one of the first to step in.

Another school year has started, moms. Some of you know this rhythm by heart. Some of you are living it for the very first time. Either way, this one is for you. πŸ’Œ

Soon your feed will be full of back to school posts. The first day smiles, the new shoes, the moment that looks effortless because it was captured at just the right second. And those posts are real. They deserve to be celebrated exactly as they are.

But behind that one photo is everything that happened to get there, and everything that keeps happening long after it was posted, all the parts nobody sees.

We see you. πŸ’› We see all the hard work. We see all the things that go on behind the scenes, the ones nobody claps for. We see the relational load you carry, the invisible load you carry. We see the depth of your love for your children and your families.

That is what we are actually here for. Not just the post, but everything true that happens before it and after it.

You deserve people around you who see the whole story, not just the highlight.

There is a community here built for exactly that kind of seeing. Women with the same mind, the same heart, who understand what lives behind every post because they live it too. ✨

πŸ‘‰ Our free waitlist is open. Come be known here, fully, not just seen from the outside. Click the link below when you're ready.

You deserve people who see you fully and love you anyway. It's okay to lean on someone today. πŸ’›
