Angi Goodman Wellness

Angi Goodman Wellness Hi! I’m Angi Goodman. My journey with autoimmunity began with my diagnosis of Rheumatoid Arthritis in the fall of 2019.

As a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner, NTP, I work with clients to identify and address nutritional deficiencies and imbalances in the body, taking a whole person approach and honoring bio-individuality, targeting the root cause and not just the symptoms. My mother was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis when I was a young adult and I remember watching her battle the disease and struggle with the

pharmaceuticals that were supposed to be helping her. When I began to feel the pain and inflammation in the joints of my hands and wrists, I knew I had not escaped genetics and feared the diagnosis. I also knew that I did not want to follow in my mom’s footsteps and take the traditional allopathic medicine approach, so I began to research and found functional medicine. By the time I saw a functional medicine provider the pain and inflammation had spread throughout most of my body and was so bad that I was unable to sleep in my own bed, drive myself to work, or be an active participant in my life. The functional medicine providers that I saw helped me to control the symptoms and provided basic information on the AIP diet. I experienced some improvement, but I felt that there had to be more that I could do. This is when I discovered a podcast by a Functional Nutritional Therapy Practitioner (FNTP) and was drawn to work with her. She helped me to bring balance to the systems of my body and add in the lifestyle and mindset changes that are so important to living with an autoimmune disease. I also discovered a passion and desire within myself to help others like me and I became a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner and a Certified AIP Coach. Throughout my journey I discovered that my genetics alone do not determine health. There are so many things that we can do to “turn off” the genes that activate illness. Nutritional therapy, The Autoimmune Protocol, and lifestyle & mindset changes can help you on your journey with autoimmune disease and can be used alone or in conjunction with allopathic medicine. It is possible to live a healthy and vibrant life and experience joy while you learn to live with autoimmunity! I am currently accepting new one-on-one coaching clients and would love to work with you! You don’t have to be perfect. But you do have to be intentional.

If you’re not eating real, whole foods most of the time, you’re not giving your body the raw materials it needs to function, heal, and thrive.

Every cell in your body is built from the food you eat. Your hormones, your neurotransmitters, your immune system, your skin, your brain, they’re all constructed and regulated by what’s on your plate.

Real food is information. It speaks directly to your DNA, turning genes on and off. It sends signals that calm inflammation, balance blood sugar, repair your gut, and boost your energy.

Ultra-processed food, on the other hand, confuses your metabolism, hijacks your appetite, and fuels chronic disease. It’s not just empty calories, it’s harmful instructions.

Avoid the fake stuff: added sugars, seed oils, chemicals, and packaged “food-like substances.” I call them Frankenfoods. If you can’t pronounce what’s on the label, don’t eat it!

The rest will follow.
Your cravings will shift. Your energy will rise. Your mind will clear.

When you feed your body what it truly needs, it knows what to do.

Approximately 1 in 12 people in the US has an autoimmune disease. While there is no cure for autoimmune conditions, we can improve our quality of life, decrease symptoms, and sometimes put the disease into remission using nutritional therapy and lifestyle changes.
