Theresa Stanley expands on Guardiant Health and the work she performs there in the second part of her conversation.
Q: What is unique about Guardiant Healthโs offering?
A: What sets us apart is the breadth and frequency of data we collect on patients, not just from a clinical viewpoint, but also from a mental health and social standpoint. In addition we know that patient engagement matters and this is directly linked to a patients level of satisfaction with us, thier primary care provider and health plan coverage. We capture patient experience data through a range of surveys and weekly interactions to evaluate how they are feeling, their activity level, nutritional intake, mental awareness and social interactions to identify risk such as loneliness or depression.
Q: What has been your most rewarding moment thus far working at Guardiant Health?
A: I love seeing patients succeed, and I have a fantastic tale to tell you about it. We have a patient with whom we have spent countless hours, and the staff will visit patients in their homes when they require support. My staff visits that patient's house frequently, so she was familiar with her, and then the other person had just spoken with her over the phone and hadn't seen her. When they arrived to her house, she was overjoyed to see them, and I was expecting to see a weak person, but when she opened the door, she had the greatest smile on her face and was dressed up and wearing make-up. It was one of the most satisfying things to witness the difference we had made in someone's life, and that's what I like doing the most.
Q: What do you see in the future of the company?
A: I see us growing and bringing our models to other areas around the country. We've already begun talking to providers in other states, and our aim is to bring our concept to as many providers and consumers as possible, and I intend to be a part of that process at all times.
