I don’t think the goal is to be stoic or emotional.

The goal is to know yourself.

Some people feel everything deeply. Others naturally hold things closer to the chest. Both have strengths and both have challenges.

Wisdom is knowing when to stay calm and grounded, and when to be vulnerable enough to tell the truth about what you're feeling.

Too much stoicism and we disconnect from ourselves. Too much emotion and we can lose our center.

The sweet spot is feeling your emotions without letting them run your life.

Underneath our differences, our struggles, and the roles we play, there is this deeper place within all of us that wants love, peace, connection, and truth.

That’s the sacred heart.

And when we live from that place, we remember we belong to each other.

One of the most beautiful things meditation has taught me is that we are never empty.

There is a source of peace, love, patience, and strength already within us. But most of us are moving too fast to notice it.

Meditation is really the practice of becoming still enough to seek God within your own heart… and finding Him there.

That’s what How to Meditate with Jesus is about for me. Learning how to reconnect to that life-giving presence within.

Almost everyone is carrying something heavy right now.

That’s why kindness matters so much. A little more patience. A little more understanding. A little more warmth toward each other.

Joy and kindness actually lift people. You can feel it.

Let’s try to be part of what helps this world feel lighter, not heavier.

Memorial Day always reminds me to slow down and reflect on freedom, sacrifice, family, and gratitude. So many people gave everything so we could live the lives we live today.

Holding their courage and their families in my heart today.

I’ve noticed more people using the word Hallelujah lately, and honestly I love it.

There’s something powerful about repeating words that lift your spirit and reconnect you to gratitude, faith, and praise. When I chant Hallelujah over and over, I can actually feel my whole nervous system soften and my mind focus more on what’s good.

Maybe that’s part of the healing right now… remembering to praise God even in the middle of life.

What’s interesting is how much we grow when we step into somebody else’s world for a little while.

New experiences expand us. They help us understand people better and see life differently.

Perfectionism takes all the life out of things.

People connect with authenticity way more than perfection anyway. The messy laugh, the honest moment, the real story… that’s what feels good.

None of us are perfect. So why spend so much energy pretending to be?

Relax a little. Be yourself. That’s where the freedom is.
