💛 On National Cancer Survivors Day, we celebrate strength, resilience, and hope.

Today, we honor every cancer survivor — those newly diagnosed, those in treatment, those in remission, and those living with and beyond cancer. Your courage inspires us every day.

At the WVU Cancer Institute, we are proud to stand beside survivors and their loved ones through every step of the journey. We also recognize the ongoing challenges of survivorship and remain committed to advancing care, support, and research that improve quality of life for every person impacted by cancer.

This National Cancer Survivors Day, we celebrate milestones big and small, honor every story, and come together to celebrate life.

💛 Join us in recognizing and celebrating the survivors.

A cancer diagnosis in your teens, 20s, or 30s comes with challenges that look different from any other stage of life — and your care should reflect that.

In Cancer Close-Up: Episode 6, Patrick Tomboc, DO, and Laurel Lyckholm, MD, break down how the WVU Cancer Institute’s Adolescent and Young Adult Program is designed specifically for you — supporting everything from treatment decisions to life after cancer.

Because your care should meet you where you are.

⚾️💛💙 What a day for our AYA crew!

The AYA group had an incredible time cheering on the West Virginia Mountaineers baseball as they took on Houston — and brought home a 7–3 win! 🙌

From great company to great baseball, it was a perfect reminder of the power of community, connection, and just enjoying the moment together. These are the days that matter.

Thanks to everyone who joined us — we can’t wait for the next outing! 💙💛

Joy doesn’t have to be big to be meaningful.

It’s in the everyday moments — a hug from family, coffee with a friend, a walk outside, a shared smile.

During AYA Awareness Week, we’re celebrating those moments and the strength it takes to keep showing up. 🌱

No one understands the AYA cancer experience quite like someone who’s lived it.

That’s why connection matters. Sharing stories and encouragement can help you feel seen, heard, and supported — no matter where you are in your journey.

Our AYA support group is here for you. All are welcome. 💛
