We are still in the middle of dotting all the iā€™s, crossing all the tā€™s and doing all the other things to get the new studio off of the ground. All while simultaneously trying to keep up with family life and other things. I have managed to play a little bit in my downtime by making some of these. Hope you guys enjoy and I canā€™t wait for everyone to check out the new space when we are open.

ā—ļøANNOUNCEMENT FROM PAULā—ļø

After over 2 decades of tattooing, it finally feels like the right time. Iā€™ll be opening my own studio in Morgantown - Graven Hand Tattoo Co.

My last day at the Downtown shop will be Saturday, May 9th and my books will temporarily be closed while Ashley and I work on Graven Hand. The majority of my career has been spent in this building - back in the day at Thinkin Ink and for the past 10 years at Pattyā€™s Downtown - and this place will always be special to me. To Patty and Craig, thank you for the past decade and for almost 25 years of friendship.

To my clients, Iā€™m grateful for every one of you and I hope to see you in the new shop soon. Updates to come!

Meet the ā€œnewā€ apprentice: Ashley Anderson

If youā€™ve been in the shop any time within the past couple years, youā€™ve probably met me. For the past 11 months, Iā€™ve been apprenticing with Paul and he finally put a tattoo machine in my hand yesterday. Itā€™s going to be a while before Iā€™m working on real skin, but itā€™s exciting to get to this part of the journey.

Hopefully Iā€™ll see you in my chair one of these days.
