We were proud to participate in the Dr. Anthony G. DiBartolomeo Internal Medicine Conference hosted by the WVU Department of Medicine this past Friday!

The conference brought together healthcare professionals from across the region for education, collaboration, and discussion of current topics in internal medicine.

Elizabeth Timko and Christina Smith represented WVUH Specialty Pharmacy & Home Infusion at our booth, while Rachel Mitchell PharmD, BCPS, CSP shared her expertise as a speaker during the collaborative session on Hepatitis C Treatment for the P*P.

Celebrating 5 Years of Home Infusion! 🎉

Five years ago, WVUH Specialty Pharmacy & Home Infusion began a new chapter with the launch of our Home Infusion department. Today, we’re proud to celebrate 5 years of caring for patients in the comfort of their own homes.

Over the past five years, our Home Infusion team has grown, supported countless patients, and built meaningful partnerships with providers and care teams across West Virginia, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Virginia.

Our dedicated team works every day to make home infusion a little easier by providing personalized support, medication education and counseling, insurance and prior authorization assistance, convenient delivery, and 24/7 support when patients need us.

We’re incredibly proud of how far our Home Infusion team has come over the past five years and, most importantly, grateful for the patients, providers, and team members who have been part of this journey.

WVUH Specialty Pharmacy & Home Infusion is looking for a Driver/Courier – Pharmacy Services to join our team!

This position helps ensure patients receive their specialty and home infusion medications safely, securely, and on time, including high-value, controlled, and temperature-sensitive medications.

Qualifications include:
• Experience in pharmaceutical delivery, healthcare logistics, or medical courier services preferred
• Strong attention to detail and customer service skills
• Ability to follow applicable healthcare and transportation regulations
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. and push up to 50 lbs.
• Weekend call may be required as needed

Last week, members of the WVUH Specialty Pharmacy & Home Infusion team had the opportunity to give back by preparing and serving a "Breakfast for Dinner" meal for approximately 40 guests staying at Rosenbaum Family House.

Rosenbaum Family House provides a true home away from home for adult patients and their families who have traveled to Morgantown to receive care at WVU Medicine. Beyond affordable lodging, the Family House offers meals, transportation, laundry facilities, and countless other services that help ease the burden during what can be an incredibly challenging time.

We are grateful for the opportunity to support this incredible mission and to provide a warm meal for patients, families, and caregivers. Small acts of kindness can make a meaningful difference, and we are proud to serve the communities and patients who place their trust in us each day.

Last Friday, our team had the opportunity to attend and exhibit at the 6th Annual John E. Parker WVU Pulmonary & Sleep Symposium.

The symposium brought together physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to explore the latest advances in pulmonary and sleep medicine. Educational sessions covered a wide range of timely topics, including severe pneumonia, obstructive lung disease, interstitial lung disease, pulmonary hypertension, lung cancer therapeutics, sleep medicine, and non invasive ventilation in acute respiratory failure.

Events like these provide valuable opportunities to connect with healthcare professionals, share how our team supports patients with complex pulmonary conditions, and stay informed on the latest developments in patient care.

🍭🍫 What a sweet day at the WVU Medicine Employee Appreciation Picnic!

Today, the WVUH Specialty Pharmacy & Home Infusion team had a wonderful time connecting with fellow WVU Medicine employees at Milan Puskar Stadium during this year's W***y Wonka themed celebration.

Our booth was filled with fun as attendees tested their luck by guessing the number of gumballs in our jar and tried their hand at our ring toss game for a chance to win prizes. It was a great opportunity to meet colleagues from across the health system, share more about our services, and celebrate the incredible people who make WVU Medicine such a special place to work.

A big thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth and to the organizers for putting together such a fun and memorable event. We appreciate all that our WVU Medicine team members do each day to care for our patients and communities!
