When Carlsbad students were asked why they choose not to use alcohol or other substances, some of their top answers were:

🩵Their health and safety.
🎓Their future plans.
❌Avoiding negative consequences.

Our teens have goals worth protecting.

Parents and caring adults can help by continuing to encourage those goals, talking openly about substance use, and reminding young people that the choices they make today can protect the future they’re working toward.
