This award recognizes staff members who work in support and administrative roles to ensure that we continue providing services without interruptions. They complete tasks accurately and timely, are responsive and communicative, and take the initiative to solve problems or develop their department.

About Vlad:

Since joining ArcMorris in November 2023, Vlad Gora has taken on just about every kind of task you can imagine, from plumbing and repairs to snow removal and everything in between. Whether it’s fixing doors, floors, furniture, or even vehicles, he approaches each job with care and pride, always making sure to leave things better than he found them.

But, what really sets Vlad apart is how much he cares about the people around him. He’s always quick with a smile for residents and colleagues, hoping to brighten their day, and he genuinely looks for ways to improve their living environment. Even when assigned a specific task, Vlad keeps an eye out for anything else that might need attention and takes the initiative to fix it.

Vlad brings a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a true sense of purpose to everything he does, doing his part to make ArcMorris a better organization.

Congratulations to Diana Silver, who will be receiving the Management Effectiveness Award at the ArcMorris Annual Awards Gala 2026.

This award recognizes managers and supervisors who have mastered the art of achieving results through others. A stellar supervisor is a mentor and guide who consistently gives praise for work well done and offers constructive criticism to help improve their team. They serve as a bridge between families, staff, community and Support Coordinators. Their programs are well-run, staff knows what they need to do, and senior leadership can rely on them.

About Diana:

Diana joined the ArcMorris family in October 2012 as a Program Manager for the Overlook Group Home in Long Valley. She served in this role for seven years before being promoted to Assistant Director of Residential Services in December 2019, and later to Director of Residential Services in January 2023. She has dedicated over 13 years to ArcMorris and brings more than 25 years of experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities.

Diana's commitment to the field is driven by the fulfillment she gains from supporting individuals in their daily lives and ensuring they are valued and included. As Director, Diana is known for her hands-on leadership style and open-door approach. She remains actively involved in program operations and is always willing to step in and support wherever needed. She is dedicated to guiding her team, problem-solving, and ensuring programs operate effectively while maintaining high standards of care.

About James:

Born and raised in Newark, New Jersey, James Davis has dedicated his professional life to the service and support of his community. With an impressive sixteen-year tenure in direct care, James currently serves as a Group Home Assistant Manager for ArcMorris. In this role, he provides essential leadership and compassionate oversight, ensuring that residents receive the highest quality of support in a stable, nurturing environment. His extensive experience in the field has made him a cornerstone of the orqanization, known for his reliability and deep commitment to those in his care.

Beyond his work with The Arc, James further extends his expertise to the Newark Public School system. Here, he works specifically with students facing behavioral challenges, utilizing his patient and structured approach to help young people navigate obstacles and find success in their educational journeys. This passion for helping others was instilled in him at a young age, inspired by the dedicated example set by his mother, Deborah Davis who also worked in home care.

When he is not advocating for his community or students, James is a devoted father to his seventeen-year-old son. He also finds lots of fulfillment in his personal hobby of restoring classic cars - a craft that requires the same patience and attention to detail that he brings to his professional life. Whether he is revving an old-school engine or mentoring a student, James remains a steadfast figure of support and hard work in New Jersey.

Modinat was born in Nigeria, is a mother, and is the first of seven siblings. Modinat embodies resilience, responsibility, and a lifelong commitment to serving others. Her early experiences shaped a strong sense of leadership and compassion - qualities that continue to guide her personal and professional life. With a solid academic background, including a master’s degree in biotechnology from the University of East London, United Kingdom, and a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry from Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, she has built a career grounded in precision, care, and community support.

Modinat currently works as a Direct Support Professional at ArcMorris, a role she has held since March 2024. In this position, she provides individualized support that helps clients live with dignity and independence. Her responsibilities include assisting with daily living tasks, medication support, mobility assistance, and encouraging meaningful community involvement. She is committed to helping individuals build social skills, strengthen emotional wellbeing, and make personal choices that enhance their quality of life.

Romain was born in Georgetown, Guyana, and later immigrated to the United States with her father, carrying with her the strong values her mother instilled early in life—that it is: better to serve than to be served. This principle became the foundation of both her personal life and professional journey.

In 2006, Romain began her career with ArcMorris, where she discovered her passion for supporting others. Although she once aspired to become a nurse, she found her true calling in direct service, dedicating the past 20 years to making a meaningful difference in the lives of those she serves. Her commitment is unwavering, and her work reflects compassion, patience, and purpose.

A proud mother of five wonderful children, Romain has inspired her family through her example. Two of her children have followed in her footsteps and now also serve their community through ArcMorris.

Throughout her career, Romain has developed strong skills in teamwork, problem-solving, and communication. Most notably, she has a gift for building genuine relationships and advocating for individuals in her care. Siara comes from a close-knit family with four siblings, two nephews, and one niece, and she is a tremendous source of support for her mother and a joyful presence in the lives of her nephews and family. Growing up, Siara played soccer and developed the teamwork, dedication, and positive spirit that continue to shape who she is today. During high school, she took classes alongside students with intellectual and developmental disabilities, where she offered support with schoolwork and daily tasks. That early experience helped nurture her passion for service and inclusion.

Siara joined ArcMorris on December 5, 2022, where her mission of service continues to shine. She brings warmth, compassion, and meaningful engagement to absolutely every participant she supports. Her contagious laugh has a way of making everyone around her smile, creating a welcoming and joyful environment.
